Reports & Analytics

Available Reports

The app does not have a dedicated "Reports" or "Analytics" page. Instead, you use:

  • Dashboard – Stat cards and widgets (totals, attendance, schedule, time off, weekly hours).
  • Time logs – Filter by employee, department, date range, etc., to inspect attendance and hours. This acts as your attendance report.
  • ShiftsMonthly statistics (assignments, hours, cost, overtime) and print/export of the schedule. This is your schedule and labour-cost overview.

Generating Custom Reports

  • There is no "custom report" builder. You effectively create custom views by:
    • Filtering time logs (employee, department, dates).
    • Filtering the shift calendar by department when printing or exporting (see Printing & Exporting Schedules and Using Departments).
    • Using dashboard stats and shift stats for the current month or filtered set.

Exporting Data

  • Schedule export: From Shifts, use Print or Export (e.g. Save as PDF). You can filter by department before exporting. Exported files show the schedule grid, optional legend, and optionally totals.
  • Time logs: The app does not export time logs to CSV or file. You view and filter them on the Time logs page.

Understanding Report Data

  • Dashboard statsTotal Employees = active only. Hours This Week = from time logs (actual check-in/out). Shifts Today = from the schedule (planned shifts).
  • Time logs – Each row is a session (check-in + check-out). Use filters to narrow by person, department, or date. Duration = time between check-in and check-out.
  • Shift statsTotal hours and cost are based on scheduled shift times and employee pay (salary/hourly/daily). Overtime hours apply to full-time employees only. See Employment Types & Payroll for how cost and overtime are calculated.
