Device Requirements
Time Clock Device Specifications
- Device: Tablet, phone, or computer with a supported browser (see Browser Compatibility).
- Screen: Touch-friendly; the time clock is optimized for touch (e.g. tablets, phones). Mouse and keyboard work on desktops.
- Network: Wi‑Fi or mobile data; stable connection for check-in/check-out and device authorization.
- Browser: Up-to-date Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. JavaScript and cookies enabled.
Tablet Recommendations
- Tablets (e.g. iPad, Android tablets) work well as dedicated time clock devices. Use a stand or mount near the entrance or break room.
- Stable Wi‑Fi, location enabled, and always-on or auto-wake settings can improve reliability. Lock the device to the time clock URL if your MDM or kiosk mode supports it.
Mobile Device Support
- Phones can be used for the time clock (e.g. employees on the go). Ensure location is on and allowed for the browser.
- Bookmark the time clock URL for quick access. Use Wi‑Fi or mobile data as required by your network policy.
