Overtime Management
Marking Shifts as Overtime
- When adding or editing a shift, check Overtime (or similar) if that shift counts as overtime.
- The overtime option is typically shown only for full‑time (salaried) employees.
Understanding Overtime
- Overtime hours are often used for pay (e.g. higher rate). The app can separate regular vs overtime hours in statistics.
- Overtime is usually relevant only for full‑time employees; hourly or daily workers may have different rules.
Visual Overtime Indicators
- Overtime shifts on the calendar often have a green border or similar so you can recognize them quickly.
When to Use Overtime
- Use it when an employee works beyond their normal schedule and your policy counts those hours as overtime.
