For Employees: Using the Time Clock

Clocking In

When you arrive:

  1. Go to the time clock (shared tablet/computer or your own device on the time clock page).
  2. Enter your 4-digit PIN.
  3. Wait for the welcome message with your name.
  4. Tap or click "Clock in" (or "Check in").
  5. If the app asks for location, allow it. This records where you clocked in and is required for clock-in.
  6. When you see a success message, you're clocked in.

Tips:

  • Make sure you're using the correct PIN your manager gave you. For complete PIN information, see Understanding PINs.
  • If you're on a phone or tablet, allow location when prompted so clock-in can complete.
  • If you get an error, check your PIN and try again. If it keeps failing, ask your manager.

Clocking Out

When you leave:

  1. Go to the time clock and enter your 4-digit PIN again (if you're not already on your screen).
  2. Tap or click "Clock out" (or "Check out").
  3. You may be asked for location; you can allow it. Clock-out will complete even if location isn't available.
  4. When you see a success message, you're clocked out.

Tips:

  • Always clock out at the end of your shift so your hours are recorded correctly.
  • If you forget to clock out, tell your manager. They can fix it in the time logs.

If You Forget to Clock Out

If you leave without clocking out:

  • Your time log will show you as still clocked in.
  • Ask your manager or admin to correct the clock-out time in Time logs.
  • Try to clock in and out every day to keep records accurate.
