Employee Time Off (Time Clock)

Employees can request time off and view their own time off from the time clock (after entering their PIN).

How Employees Request Time Off

  1. On the time clock, enter PIN and go to the time off (or "My time off") section.
  2. Click Add time off (or similar).
  3. Choose type (e.g. Vacation, Sick leave), start date, end date, and optionally notes.
  4. Submit. The request is pending until a manager approves or rejects it.

Employees see a confirmation that the request was submitted and is pending approval.

Viewing Personal Time Off History

  • In the time off section on the time clock, employees see their time off records.
  • Use year navigation (e.g. previous/next year) to switch between years.
  • The list shows type, dates, and often status (e.g. Pending, Approved, Rejected).

Checking Upcoming Time Off

  • Upcoming time off is included in the same list (e.g. future dates in the current or next year).
  • Employees can use this to confirm approved leave or see pending requests.

Approving or Rejecting Employee Requests (Managers)

  • Pending requests often appear in a "Pending requests" (or similar) area on the Time Off page.
  • Approve or Reject each request. When rejecting, you may add an optional reason.
  • When you approve, overlapping shifts for that employee are removed automatically (see Managing Time Off Records).
  • Rejected requests stay in the list as rejected; they do not create or remove any time off or shifts.
