Salary & Wage Configuration

You set salary or wage per employee when adding or editing an employee. The fields shown depend on the employee's employment type.

Adding Employee Salaries (Full‑Time)

  • For full‑time employees, enter Salary (monthly amount). The app uses this plus base hours (from the employment type or overrides) to derive an hourly rate for cost and overtime.

Hourly Rates (Hourly Employees)

  • For hourly employees, enter Hourly wage. Cost = hours worked × hourly wage.

Daily Rates (Daily Employees)

  • For daily employees, enter Fixed day wage (amount per day). Cost = number of days with assigned shifts × daily wage.

Understanding the Salary Field

  • Salary is the gross monthly amount you use for full‑time employees. The app does not apply tax or deductions; it only uses salary to estimate labour cost and to compute an effective hourly rate (salary ÷ base hours) for shift cost and overtime logic.
  • If you use custom base hours or fixed hourly rate (see Base Hours & Norms), those override the default "salary ÷ employment type norm" for that employee.
