Monthly Payroll Summaries
The shift calendar provides monthly statistics that you can use for payroll and planning.
Viewing Monthly Statistics
- Open Dashboard → Shifts and select the month.
- A stats or summary section shows:
- Total assignments – number of shift assignments in the month.
- Total hours – sum of all worked hours (from shift times).
- Total cost – estimated labour cost from salary/wage and worked hours or days.
- Overtime hours – sum of overtime hours (full‑time only).
Total Hours Worked
- Total hours = sum of shift durations (check‑in/out or scheduled start/end) for all employees in the visible set. It includes both regular and overtime hours.
Regular Hours vs. Overtime
- Regular = hours up to base; overtime = marked overtime + excess regular hours beyond base (see Overtime Calculations). The stats section shows overtime hours explicitly (e.g. "+X" or separate field).
Total Cost Calculations
- Full‑time: hours × (salary‑derived or overridden hourly rate).
- Hourly: hours × hourly wage.
- Daily: days with shifts × daily wage.
- Total cost = sum across all employees. Currency comes from organization settings.
Department Cost Breakdowns
- When you filter by department (e.g. when printing or exporting the schedule), the monthly statistics apply to the filtered employees only. So you effectively get department‑level totals (hours, cost, overtime) by filtering before viewing or printing.
- There is no separate "Department cost" report; use department filter + monthly stats for that.
Using Data for Payroll Processing
- Use total hours, overtime hours, and total cost as inputs to your payroll process. The app provides estimates based on configured salaries/wages and shift data; it does not replace payroll tax or deduction logic.
- Export or print the schedule (with optional department filter) to attach who worked when and department context to your payroll workflow.
