Switching Between Organizations
If you're a member of multiple organizations, you can easily switch between them. This is useful for consultants, multi-location managers, or users who work with several businesses.
How to Switch Organizations

Find the Organization Switcher
- Look for the organization name in the top navigation bar
- It's usually displayed next to your profile or in the header
- Click on the organization name or the dropdown arrow

View Available Organizations
- A dropdown menu will appear
- Shows all organizations you're a member of
- Current organization is marked with a checkmark
- Displays your role in each organization

Select a Different Organization
- Click on the organization you want to switch to
- The system will switch your context
- You'll be redirected to that organization's dashboard

Wait for the Switch
- Switching takes a moment
- You'll see a loading indicator
- The page will refresh with the new organization's data
What Changes When You Switch:
- All data displayed is now from the selected organization
- Your role and permissions change based on your role in that organization
- Navigation and access are filtered to that organization
- Dashboard shows that organization's statistics

Organization Independence:
- Each organization has completely separate data
- Employees, schedules, and time logs are isolated
- Settings are organization-specific
- No data sharing between organizations
Role-Based Access:
- You may have different roles in different organizations
- Owner in one, Manager in another, Viewer in a third
- Your permissions change based on the current organization
- Each organization's settings respect your role
Organization Selector Guide
Understanding the Selector:
- Current Organization: Shown at the top, marked with a checkmark
- Other Organizations: Listed below, showing your role
- Create Organization: Option to create a new organization (if you have permission)
Organization Display:
- Organization name
- Your role (Owner, Admin, Manager, Viewer)
- Visual indicator for current selection
Quick Actions:
- Click to switch immediately
- No confirmation needed (switching is safe)
- Can switch back and forth easily
Troubleshooting:
- If you don't see an organization, you may not have access
- Contact the organization owner to get invited
- Check that you've accepted any pending invitations
